How to Set Up and Manage Multi-Room Availability in MedMe

This article explains how to use the Multi-Room Setup feature in MedMe. It covers setting up multiple calendars, managing appointments across rooms, and rescheduling between calendars.

How Multi-Room Works for the Patient

  • The multi-room setup operates entirely in the background — the patient booking experience remains unchanged.

  • When booking through the booking portal, patients select their appointment type as usual. Room and calendar names are never visible to patients at any stage of the booking process.

  • Pharmacy teams can view and manage multi-room bookings from the Calendar tab by selecting the specific calendar they want to view.

Please Note: Each calendar represents a separate room or resource. Selecting a specific calendar from the Calendar tab will display only the bookings assigned to that room.


How to Set Up Multi-Room Availability

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Add additional Calendars to represent different rooms or staff.

  3. Configure settings for each calendar.

Tip: Use calendar names that make it easy for staff to identify the correct room or provider.


How to Manage Appointments with Multi-Room

Once your availabilities are set, you can manage appointments across rooms using several tools within MedMe.

Viewing Upcoming Appointments

  • Dashboard View

    • Switch between dashboards for each room by selecting a calendar from the dropdown menu.

  • Calendar Tab – Week View

    • Select Week View and choose the calendar from the dropdown to view weekly appointments per room.

  • Calendar Tab – Day View

    • Select Day View and choose up to 3 calendars from the dropdown to view them side by side.

  • Appointments Tab – List View

    • Select List View, click Filter/Sort, and filter by calendar to see appointments per room.


Manually Adding Appointments to Specific Rooms

When manually adding an appointment (from the patient profile or Appointments tab):

  1. Select the desired calendar/room for patient assignment.


Rescheduling Appointments into Other Rooms

Appointments can be rescheduled between calendars/rooms to accommodate staffing changes.
