What Is the Methods Toggle?
The Methods Toggle allows customization of how a service is offered:
In-Person
Video
Phone
This feature makes it possible to offer some services exclusively in-person (e.g., vaccinations), while others may be offered virtually or by phone.
How to Adjust the Methods for an Appointment Type
Navigate to Settings > Appointment Type Settings.
Select the desired Appointment Type.
Under Available Methods, toggle each method ON (blue) or OFF (grey) as needed:

Available Methods Explained
In Person Appointments
The In Person toggle should be enabled for appointment types where the patient physically visits the pharmacy or clinic location to receive the service.
For Instance: A flu shot, medication review, or minor ailment consultation conducted face-to-face at the pharmacy counter or in a private consultation room would use the In Person method.
Phone Appointments
The Phone toggle should be enabled for appointment types where the consultation takes place over the pharmacy or clinic's telephone line.
Please Note: Phone consultations are conducted outside of MedMe's system. The pharmacist contacts the patient directly using the pharmacy's phone — no virtual room or link is generated by MedMe for these appointments.
For Instance: A follow-up medication check-in or a prescription renewal discussion conducted by phone would use the Phone method.
Virtual Appointments
The Virtual toggle should be enabled for appointment types where the consultation takes place online, directly within MedMe.
Tip: When the Virtual method is enabled, MedMe automatically generates a virtual room for the consultation — no external video tool or link is required. Both the pharmacist and patient access the room through MedMe.

Reminder: More than one method can be enabled for the same appointment type. For example, if a medication review can be conducted either in person or by phone, both toggles may be turned on simultaneously. Patients will then be prompted to select their preferred method during self-scheduling.
