Overview

The Batch Update Settings tool allows pharmacy teams to update the settings of many appointment types simultaneously. This streamlines configuration changes and reduces repetitive manual updates.

Tip: Ideal for applying uniform changes across many appointment types quickly.

What Can Be Updated

The following appointment type settings can be updated in bulk:

  • Public Intake

  • Walk-In

  • Allow Patients to Reschedule

  • Duration

  • Booking Window

  • Calendar Assignment

When to Use Batch Update

Use Batch Update Settings when:

  • Enabling Public Intake for multiple appointment types

  • Setting a standard duration (e.g., 15 minutes for all Minor Ailments)

  • Removing outdated calendar assignments across services

For Instance: During flu season prep, use batch updates to assign a “Flu Calendar” to all related appointment types.

Notes on Calendar Assignment

When assigning or unassigning calendars in bulk:

  • If a selected calendar was already assigned, it remains assigned.

  • Other existing calendars for an appointment type are not removed when assigning new ones.

  • If unassigning calendars that were not originally linked to an appointment type, no changes will occur.

Reminder: Always click Submit to confirm calendar changes.

Notes on Appointment Duration

  • Batch update allows configuring durations for 1 to 6 patients.

  • Some appointment types do not support multi-patient bookings, but the options will still appear.

  • Multi-patient durations may not display in the standard appointment settings page afterward.

🔵 Please Note: This setting is best used when all selected appointment types share a compatible duration model.

Troubleshooting Errors

  • If an error occurs, an error message will display with helpful context.

  • For general errors:

    • Refresh the page

    • Ensure the user is still logged in

Warning: If the issue persists, contact MedMe Support for assistance.

Conclusion

Batch Update Settings is a powerful tool to streamline configuration across many appointment types. Use it for efficient setup changes and save valuable time during onboarding or seasonal shifts.
