How to Mass Message or Email Patients in MedMe

This article explains how to send a mass message or email to patients in MedMe. It covers how to filter, select, and contact patients in bulk using the system.

Overview

MedMe enables pharmacies to send targeted communications to patients by filtering appointment lists or patient profiles.

This can be used to:

  • Share important clinic updates

  • Invite patients to book appointments

  • Notify patients about service changes or reminders

Tip: Use the filtering tools to segment by appointment type, risk level, or status before sending communications.


Messaging Patients with Appointments

  1. Select Appointments from the left navigation tab.

  2. (Optional) Click Filter to refine the appointment list.

  3. Use checkboxes to select one or more patients.

After selecting patients, the following options appear:

  • Send Custom Email

  • Send Waitlist Invite

  • Download CSV

  • Send Rescheduling Links

  • Cancel Appointments

Select Send Custom Email and in the message field, enter the email content to be sent to the selected patients.


Messaging Any Patient in the System

  1. Click Patients from the left navigation tab.

  2. (Optional) Use the Filter to target specific patients.

  3. Select patients using checkboxes to access messaging options.

Tip: This is ideal for general announcements or campaign outreach not tied to a specific appointment.


Messaging Patients from the Waitlist

To contact waitlisted patients:

  • Visit the relevant Waitlist Tab

  • Use the Filter/Sort tool to narrow the search

  • Select patients and choose to from:

    • Send Booking Link

    • Send Custom Email

    • Sent Opt Out Email

Please Note: Messages sent from the waitlist should be clear about whether booking is now available or upcoming.
