TABLE OF CONTENTS

Overview

MedMe's platform is optimized for modern browsers, devices, and network conditions to ensure security and optimal usability for both pharmacy teams and patients.

Please Note: Browsers released before 2012 are not supported due to outdated encryption standards.

Browser Requirements

For Pharmacists

  • Recommended browser: Google Chrome (latest version)

  • Platform: Desktop or laptop

Tip: Chrome provides the best support for MedMe's latest features and updates.

Warning: Safari and Firefox may cause security or layout issues and are not recommended for Pharmacist Account use.

For Patients

MedMe supports a range of mobile and desktop browsers for patient-facing features, including booking and virtual consultations.

Minimum Supported Computer Browsers:

  • Chrome v23 or higher

  • Firefox v34 or higher

  • Safari v7 or higher

  • Microsoft Edge (all versions)

Minimum Supported Mobile Browsers:

  • Safari v5 or higher (iOS)

  • Chrome on Android 4.1+ (Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, etc.)

  • Edge (all versions)

  • Opera 12.18 or higher

Reminder: While older browser versions are supported, updating to the latest version ensures full compatibility with new MedMe features.

Screen & Device Requirements

For Pharmacists

  • Minimum screen resolution: 1920 x 1080 (standard Full HD)

  • Minimum camera resolution for video Consultations: 0.3MP (480p), supported by most laptops and webcams

For Patients

  • iPhone: 1080p or higher (iPhone 6 Plus or newer)

  • Android: 1080p or higher (typically devices with 5.3"+ screens)

  • Camera for medication display: Minimum 1.2MP (960p), common in most smartphones made after the iPhone 6

Tip: Higher-resolution devices improve video quality and image clarity during virtual consultations.

Network Requirements

MedMe requires a stable and secure internet connection to function properly.

Recommended Network Speeds:

  • Download: At least 25 Mbps

  • Upload: At least 5 Mbps

Minimum Network Speeds Supported:

  • Download: 1.5 Mbps

  • Upload: 0.3 Mbps

Please Note: While MedMe functions at minimum speeds, higher bandwidth improves video call stability and Platform responsiveness.

For Instance: A pharmacy running a video Consultation on a 1.5 Mbps connection may notice occasional lag, while a 25 Mbps connection typically supports smooth, uninterrupted calls.

Troubleshooting

Video or audio quality is poor during a Consultation

  • Confirm the device meets the minimum camera resolution listed above.

  • Check that the network connection meets at least the minimum supported speeds.

  • Close other applications or browser tabs using bandwidth.

Pages are not displaying correctly or features are missing

  • Confirm Google Chrome (latest version) is being used, especially for Pharmacist Accounts.

  • Clear the browser cache or try an updated browser version.

Patient cannot access the Booking Portal or complete Self-Scheduling

  • Confirm the Patient's browser meets the minimum supported version listed above.

  • Ask the Patient to try a different supported browser or device.

Conclusion

For the best MedMe experience:

  • Pharmacy teams should use Google Chrome (latest version) on a desktop or laptop.

  • Patients should use an updated, supported browser and device.

  • A stable internet connection meeting at least the minimum recommended speeds should be maintained.
