When dynamic scheduling or staffing changes occur, recurring weekly availability may not be ideal. This feature allows pharmacists to set flexible booking availability using both one-off time slots and repeatable daily/weekly patterns.

Use Cases for Slot-Based Calendar Availability

  • Flexible Staffing Scenarios

  • Pharmacist Overlap on Certain Dates

  • Special Events

  • Physician-Led Clinics

How to Switch to Danger Zone Calendar Availability

  1. Click the ellipses (three dots) next to the Account Name.

  2. Select Settings.

  3. In the desired Calendar, go to the General tab.

  4. Scroll to the bottom and find the Danger Zone section.

  5. Toggle the setting to switch from recurring calendar availability to one-off availability.

  6. A confirmation pop-up will appear:

    • Type CONFIRM

    • Enter your First and Last name

  7. Click Confirm.

Please Note: This is different from setting availability in individual appointment types. The Calendar Danger Zone overrides the recurring weekly view. Learn more about Appointment Type Danger Zone Here.

How to Add Custom Booking Slots

  1. In the top right corner, click the Add button.

  2. Specify the desired date, time, and duration.

  3. To make a slot repeat:

    • Choose Repeats as needed

  4. Click Save to finalize the time slot.

  5. Repeat as needed by clicking Add again.

  6. To delete a time slot, click the Red X beside the entry.

Tip: Slots can be both one-time or set to repeat daily/weekly. Ideal for balancing structure with flexibility.

Reminder: This setting applies to all appointment types under the selected calendar.

Troubleshooting

  • Patient unable to book? Confirm that at least one time slot is added after enabling Danger Zone settings.

  • Settings not applying to an appointment type? Ensure the appointment type has been assigned to the calendar. Learn more about setting up calendars and assigning appointment types here.

Conclusion

Switching to Calendar Danger Zone allows complete control over appointment availability. Ideal for pharmacists managing irregular or dynamic scheduling needs with the flexibility to combine one-off and recurring slots.
