Introduction

This article explains how to merge two patient profiles in MedMe. It helps resolve cases where a patient has accidentally created multiple profiles.

When to Use the Merge Patient Feature

Use the Merge Patient option if:

  • A patient appears multiple times on the waitlist.

  • Two profiles were created accidentally during onboarding or booking.

How to Merge Patient Profiles

  1. Click the Patients tab on the left navigation panel.

  2. Search for and select the primary patient profile to keep.

  3. Click the three dots (ellipsis) beside the patient’s name.

  4. Select Merge Patient.

  5. In the prompt that appears, search for and select the second (duplicate) profile to merge.

  6. Click Continue.

  7. Choose the correct details to keep from each profile (e.g., contact info, date of birth).

  8. Click Confirm Merge.

The patient profiles will now be merged into one.

What Happens to Consultation History

Please Note: All unique consultations from both profiles will be retained.
No consultations will be cancelled or deleted during the merge.

Troubleshooting

Warning: Ensure the correct profiles are selected before merging. This action cannot be undone.

Conclusion

Merging duplicate patient profiles helps maintain a clean patient database and avoids confusion during booking and consultations.

Please Note: If each profile has unique consultations they will all be included in the merge. Consultations will not be cancelled or deleted.
