- Identify when a prescription is required. 
- Easily document the need for a prescription. 
- Generate prescription requests or pharmacist-issued prescriptions where allowed.

Workflow for Using the New Prescription Tools
1. Intake & Screening
- Patient completes MedMe’s intake form, which now includes questions to determine if a prescription is needed. 
- The pharmacist reviews the flagged prescription requirement during their consultation. If a patient has indicated that they do not have a prescription, “No Rx” will appear on the booking in the calendar, as well as on the consultation card of the appointment. 
2. In-Store Assessment & Prescription
If the pharmacist has prescribing authority:
- During the consultation, the pharmacist can assess the patient and indicate whether a prescription will be written. 
- If a vaccine is deemed appropriate, the pharmacist can select the specific product from the dropdown list. 
- Once the assessment is complete, the pharmacist proceeds through the remaining questionnaires and saves the encounter. This generates: 
If the pharmacist does not have prescribing authority:
- MedMe automatically generates: - A clinical assessment record. 
- A pre-filled prescription request addressed to the patient's primary care provider. 
 
- This request includes the pharmacist’s recommendations and can be printed and faxed directly to the provider. - 3. Documentation- All assessments, prescription decisions, and supporting documentation are automatically saved within MedMe. 
- Printable copies are generated and linked to each patient record, ensuring thorough documentation for auditing and continuity of care. 
 
Launching These Enhancements at Your Pharmacy
These new tools will be automatically rolled out to pharmacies once they are ready.
