What’s new in MedMe (3)

Hi there, as we continue to improve our platform in preparation of a smooth and successful flu shot season, we are excited to share some additional enhancements:

Note:

If you haven't already, please first read the email sent August 23rd labelled "IMPORTANT updates to your MedMe Flu Season Experience". A copy of the email is available, click here

Key Enhancements

1. Multi-service booking

Last year, 71% of patients received a COVID-19 and Flu Shot together. The most common reason for not receiving both was being unable to find appointment availability to accommodate both services at a given time (43%).

To address this, MedMe has launched multi-service booking to ALL customers, ensuring that patients can book a Flu and COVID-19 shot together.

We’ve also added the ability to cancel a singular service from a co-booked appointment. This will allow pharmacies to cancel a single service should supply issues arise without having to cancel the entire appointment. Conversely, this will also allow patients to cancel a single service in a co-booked appointment.

2. Increased appointment customizability

Pharmacists now have the ability to customize the following settings of an appointment:

  • Description

  • Sub-description (NEW)

  • Next steps after booking / waitlist completion

  • Badge (NEW) - Badges are highly visible labels you can add to an appointment-type to indicate the cost of the service, whether it is covered publicly, or any other information you feel is important to showcase.

3. External clinics

This feature enables pharmacies to utilize MedMe for clinics conducted outside the pharmacy, such as flu shot or COVID-19 vaccine clinics at community centres or corporate workplaces. Pharmacists can customize the details for their external clinics, including the clinic description and notification messaging, then generate a unique booking link to send to patients.

4. “No to all” at patient intake/eligibility screening

This feature allows pharmacists and patients to more efficiently complete screening documentation. By selecting “no to all”, the following list of questions are auto-filled with the answer “no”. For some patients, this can eliminate the need to manually input "no" for each individual screening question. Pilot tests indicated up to a 24% reduction in booking abandonment rate with the implementation of this feature.
