Overview

Some laptops like the Microsoft Surface Pro have two cameras, a front-facing and a rear-facing camera.

Depending on which camera is preferred, enable or disable the specific camera in the Device Manager settings of the computer.

Steps

  1. Open up Device Manager (Right-click on the Windows menu and select Device Manager)

  2. Scroll down to System Devices; click to expand the menu.

  3. Double click on either Microsoft Camera Front or Microsoft Camera Rear

  4. Select Enable Device on the camera needed; Select Disable Device on the other.
