Keeping MedMe Up to Date

Slow run-times? Missing buttons? Trouble saving things? It might be time to clear your browser cache.

The MedMe team is constantly working on new features and pushing updates to your platform. MedMe will automatically notify you when a new version is available. In some cases, you may still need to clear your cache (a collection of old, stored information from every website you visit) to retrieve the newest version of our platform.

Automatic Version Updates

MedMe will detect when a newer version of the platform is available and display a alert in your browser asking you to refresh.

What to do: When you see the update prompt, simply click Refresh to load the latest version.

Still Experiencing Issues?

If you don't see the update prompt, or are still encountering browser errors, slow

run-times, missing buttons, or an inability to save — you may need to manually clear your cached files. Follow the steps below.

How to Clear Your Cache: Google Chrome

Step 1: After opening Chrome, navigate to the top right corner of your browser. Click on the three dots.

Step 2: Click "More Tools" and select "Clear Browsing Data". This will pull up the following pop-up.

Step 3: At the top of the pop-up, select a time range. We recommend either "Last 4 Weeks" or "All time".

Step 4: Ensure that the "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files" checkboxes are checked. After, click the "Clear data" button and your cache is cleared!

How to clear your browser cache and perform a hard reload

Many problems on websites can be resolved by clearing out the "cache" of stored information on your computer and refreshing your browser.

Below are instructions for doing a "hard reload" for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.

Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and related browsers:

A quick hard reload can be done by using the following shortcut keys

On Windows/Linux:

  1. Hold down Ctrl and click the Reload button.

  2. Or, Hold down Ctrl and press F5.

  3. Or just open the Chrome Dev Tools by pressing F12. Once the Chrome dev tools are open, right-click on the reload button, and a menu will drop down. Click on “Empty Cache and Hard Reload.

On Mac

  1. Hold ⇧ Shift and click the Reload button.

  2. Or, hold down the ⌘ Command and ⇧ Shift key and then press R.
